Hatayspor is a professional football club based in Hatay, Turkey. The club was founded in 1967 and the team initially played in amateur leagues. The team made it to the professional leagues in 2007 and has been playing in the top two divisions of Turkish football ever since.
In 2020, the club changed its name to Hatayspor to represent the Hatay province, and moved its home stadium to the new Antakya Atatürk Stadium in Antakya. The team finished fourth in the 2019-2020 TFF First League season and was promoted to the Süper Lig for the first time in its history.
The team’s colors are red and white, and its mascot is an eagle. Hatayspor has a strong fan base, known as the "1559 Hatayspor Fans" which refers to the club’s founding year in the Islamic calendar.
